I am the third generation of tradesmen in my family, carrying on the skills first started by my grandfather. He looked after properties in Norfolk from as early as the 1930s, and passed his skills to my father who carried on the family tradition for over 40 years until his retirement.

 

I recall my grandfather helping me to make my first piece of furniture when I was just 8 years old, and I would always go to work with my father during the school holidays. So I can fairly claim that building and property maintenance is in my blood!

 

After leaving school I gained my first City and Guilds qualification in Bench Joinery, while working as an enthusiastic apprentice with Town and Country Conservatories. That taught me the importance of craftmanship and attention to detail, since the high quality timber and glass buildings we created in the Horningtoft based workshop would often be destined for the rich and famous in areas like Chelsea Park in London.

 

After broadening my skills and experience with two further conservatory companies, I joined my father's business in 2002. It is fair to say the 'Roos' family name is well known and respected throughout Norfolk, and today I am extremely proud to carry on the standards, reputation and trust we have earned.

 

My philosophy is simple and engrained in everything I do - I believe customers want a very high standard of work, at a fair price, from a reliable and trustworthy builder. That is what I always try to deliver.

 

I keep fully up to date with the latest skills and materials, and I invest in the best of modern tools to ensure I am equipped for any project. However, I'm not at all worried to call my service ' old fashioned' . . . providing clear prices, being polite and being respectful of your property underpins the high quality of building works I provide.
